Hi,
I am looking for budget gpu (60-65 $).
Which of the below cards will be better for gaming. (Even though both might not be suitable for high end gaming like crysis, its ok for me. I will be using 19 inch monitor, so resolution will not be that high)
Pls help me with ur suggestions, if there are comparisons/benchmarks between the two, pls post the links.
And my budget is between 60-65 $ only.:\
So which of the two will be better.
1)ATI 4650
2)NVIDIA 9500
(PC config will be AMD Athlon ii X4 630, 2 GB DDR3, 500 GB HDD)

Thanks in advance for ur suggestions.
Regds...........

Either can come with DDR2 memory, so you have to be careful. DDR3 versions are much faster. The 4650 reference design does call for DDR2, so that should be more common. The 9500GT reference calls for DDR3, but there are a lot of DDR2 boards.

4650 with DDR2 compared to 9500GT with standard DDR3:

If both cards come with with the same memory, the 4650 should be faster. If one is DDR3 and the other DDR2, the DDR3 should be faster.

Also I think there are 64-bit variants of each card available. You want to make sure the memory bus is 128-bits for either card.

And if you can't swing the extra cash for a 9800 you can always find GT240s for $30-40 after rebate. That's a 40nm workalike to the 9600GT and much, much faster than a 9500 or 4650.

As others have hinted at, and I'll say more directly, you're probably looking at the wrong cards. The 9500gt and 4650 are not the best you can do at the price. You'd be better off looking at GT240, HD4670, or a 9800gt with a rebate, as linked above. MUCH better cards for the price (or less). The only catch is that you'll likely need to deal with a rebate to get the best price.
