ATI 3.4 up to 3.9 Catalyst Driver Comparison!

Link ,has them all from 3.4 -3.9.

My suggestion would be to install the latest drivers (Catalyst 3.9) since they are the best ones yet.

You get the best frame-rates and a lot of driver bugs are solved. These are the most stable and most performant drivers until now.

Windows XP Professional (clean installation with all updates and drivers)

The following procedure was used to test every driver:

Install Driver and reboot.

Install Control Panel and reboot.

adjust screen resolution to 1024x768 at 100mhz refresh rate.

Run Benchmark and reboot

After all benchmarks are run, deinstall driver and control panel and reboot to safe mode

Remove all remaining files with Driver Cleaner and reboot

That`s how I do it with DC in safe mode,I always use latest drivers since they have the latest bug fixes which is more important to me then performance,only reason to use older drivers is if you get any problems with latest drivers,so far I`ve been fine with the 3.9s.

I've been liking the 3.9's
I had the 3'1's or something OLD before... they worked OK until I tried to play Call of Duty with them..

3.9's are working great though.

great link. Mem do you know if the latest version of 3D Mark 03 (340) was used during the benchies? I just completed Call of Duty using catalyst 3.7. I plan on installing the 3.9's and see how they work for me. I have had since Nov 6 but didn't have time to bench and test prior to LAN party so I just stuck with the 3.7's.

Good question,I can only really guess and say since the review was dated the 26th November that I presume he used latest version(340),don`t forget the CATs 3.10 will be out very soon,my guess is first week in December.

the Cat 3.9 seem to have a problem with some OpenGL games, wait for the 3.10 or keep using 3.7 is you experience any problems
