Why? I feel like vendors do this stuff to trick people. For the price of this thing you're in 8800GTX territory but no where near the same level of performance. The only good I see is the multiple monitor support it has

$360? Yikes!!! Heck, the 3870 is probably as fast or faster at around $192-250. Also, the 3870x2 has been available (Micro Center) for around $390 and currently is the performance king of single PCI-E slot cards in overall performance.

If it supports it. Some HD2600pro do not. Although I guess the HD2600 does not need the interface cable? Looking at the egg its kinda confusing.

The pro Dual did come out but it was a shoddy design and never took off- it couldn't work in boards that didn't support Xfire even though it was a single slot card. I think Gecube was the first to the market with the 2600 dual- there are a few reviews around and from what I can remember it was a botched solution, nowhere near as good as the 3870 X2 (R680).

Thanks! I remember the reviews, just never saw any for sale. Guess if they were poor design that explains why.

yeah, that's definitely the answer to a question that nobody is asking. realistically, though, with the newer 3000 series cards that are out now the 2000 series in anything over a $75 form is probably not a good move right now for most users.

At least the 3870X2 pricing makes sense. This is outrageous. Even if it was $200 its questionable. Guess they just made it for fun. Maybe the challenge of it?

I'm just waiting for the typical NewEgg reviews for a product like this- "Wow, I now smoke everyone on the Quake server- get this card now!" *****
