A lot of posts in there without a link to the download, get the op to update his post and get this one deleted then, or just let this sink.

i dled the desktop ones and the file name references "mobility" I try the notebook ones and they also reference "mobility"

WTF i ask!

Win7 64 4870X2 and 4870

these don't install fine for me. It says they do but installation completes in about 5 seconds and checking the system information still says cats 10.2 installed. I tried unistalling completely and rebooting, then installing again. Installation still completes in 5 seconds and I have no CCC panel. Try running the Far Cry 2 benchmark and while it runs as if there is a driver install the are obvious issues.

Dguy6789 can you confirm what I say?

I have Win 7 64 and a single 4870.

Catalyst Control Center still reports the driver as 10.2 for me, but I think this is merely a case of them not updating the part of the software that says that since this is a pre-release version and such. They made this mistake with 10.1 as well.

I don't have Far Cry 2, but I checked Unreal Tournament 3 and the game works fine.

Yeah, but I'm willing to bet it didn't install. Uninstall and reinstall and I'm guessing you have no catalyst control panel an the install will take seconds instead of a min or two

I DL'ed the Mobility drivers, but it was only 1.1mb? The beta 10.3 drivers I DL'ed before came in @ over 100mb? Why the big difference?

Good news for CrossFire folks:

During our conversation with AMD this morning, we also got a heads up that in the next few days an ATI Crossfire profile update is in the works for Battlefield2: Bad Company that will increase performance by up to 75%!

"We are also getting ready an Crossfire profile update ready to post in the next few days that will improve performance even more. For example rumor has it that Battlefield2: Bad Company will see an FPS increase from 40 to 70" AMD PR

ThAt review shows some promising results. The heaven demo really shows a bite back where the 5870 needed some bite against the "fermi" previews

Wow, my Heaven numbers (@19x12, 4x AF, 0x AA, Tes On) jumped up from 39.8 to 44.6, that's something like >12%. Went from 10.2 to 10.3a.

Looks like ATI isn't going to take the Fermi launch lying down.

hardocp clearly said in their preview that they are not the same.

Thanks for correcting me.

Here are my new benchmarks with installing these 10.3a vs my older 10.3 preiveiw:

I must say the improvement is significant (7 fps boost!), tessellation performance seems to have improved as well! Running Vantage tests atm..
