AthlonXP worth it for this rig?

Would getting an AthlonXP be worth it for this system?

AMD 1.2@1.33 Tbird
Asus A7V133(KT133a)
2x256 pc133 crucial Ram(512mb)
geforce4 ti 4200 (128 MB)
etc.

What would be a good cheap upgrade?

I was think that getting an AthlonXP 2200 or maybe more ram.

What do you all think?

what do you do with the system?
If it's a gaming rig, you won't need more than 512MB, and you could get a nice AthlonXP. I would not necessarily buy an XP2200, that seems a little too much for your system.
(Now, if anyone wants to tell me that UT2003 needs more than 512, it won't work with a TBird so well anyway, IMO)

If it's anything else, leave or get more RAM...

might be about that time to update the mobo and go ddr, it seems like it's probably holding your performance back a good deal
Does DDR help that much for most things? I ask because it's currently so much more expensive than PC/133, that I could outfit my KT133A board here with a full complement of 1.5GB of PC/133 for the price of a single 512MB PC2700 DDR module! I'm wondering if it's worth the wait, or if I should just go ahead and get some more PC/133 (things are running a little slow with only 256MB of RAM, and I don't have tons of money to get a whole new CPU + MB + RAM).

That motherboard will not support the newer xp Athlons.
What OS are you using, win98se does not utilize anything over 512k
Better off with a new motherboard and 512k of DDR

i agree a new motherboard + ram (even 256mb ddr would suffice if need be) would be better than xp2100+ (your motherboard wont support tbreds i believe)
