Hi,

I just installed an Athlon XP 1700 and I've been getting constant memory dumps and lots of errors in just about every program I run in WinXP. I have an Asus A7V133, 40gig Maxtor HD, geforce2 gts, 256meg ram, adaptec 2940 scsi card (with panasonic cd-writer)...I got the newest bios update(avu1007), flashed the bios, installed the cpu and I've been having problems ever since. Anyone else experience this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hmm, have you used this mobo prior to the BIOS flash? If so, go into the BIOS and select Failsafe or reset the CMOS. You may have a previous BIOS setting that the new BIOS doesn't like.

Hi,

Yeah I had a T-bird 1.4GHz in here before the AthlonXP. It worked fine. I'll try selecting failsafe in the bios! Thanks for the info! Here's what also happens when the memory is dumped: after the system reboots it doesn't detect my Maxtor HD anymore...I have to turn my computer off then turn it back on to get my HD back. I've never had any problems with the HD before...anyway, I'll play with the bios and see what happens!
