Athlon64 3200/3500

If an Athlon64 3200+ can OC to a 3500+ or whatever people say, does that mean there's no point in getting a 3500+?

Depends on what HT speeds your mobo can reach. The 11 multi also gives you more memory divider flexability. With 3200 at newegg right now at $174 and the 3500 at $201 if it was me I'd go with the 3500.
