Is there a way to turn on the extra L2 cache of the Athlon64 3000+ ? Kinda like the NEW Durons HAVE half their L2 cache turned off, but there is a way to turn it back on???

Yes, but it involves using a set of 30 weight ball bearings and some gauze pads. Oh, and you'll need either #2 or #4 grade jumper cables capable of handling 1.3 gigawatts. Hook that up to four 12 volt batteries wired in series--NOT PARALLEL. Reread that last line. Its the most important. Jumper the batteries to a medium length sewing needle and carefully fuse the connectors on the ram cache with the tip of the needle. That should enable the rest of the cache if done properly.

If you have any questions, just post back here. :)

Does it have to be a medium-length sewing needle? Will a small one do? I've only got a small one.

they are all yanking your chain. The 3000+ is a barton, and as such, has the full 512Mb cache enabled.
