I know that is a touchy subject, but I was hoping everybody would be mature enough to respond without resorting to name calling or bad language. Intel is taking advantage and overcharging again, more enthusiasts need to know the truth. Although it isn't likely that the general public will ever figure that out.

Although I have not seen the thread, I would assume it is becase the topic has been severly beaten into the ground. I have not read it, though, so who knows.

I wonder if it may be courteous to state why a thread gets locked when a moderator feels the need to step in. Sometimes it is obvious, but in this case I have no idea why and stand a good chance of repeating the same error....

Probably because there are 3,908,894 reviews on the internet regarding each one's performance. Also, most Intel vs. AMD threads turn into flame wars. I bet I'm pretty close on this one.

I came across that review at another forum, I have not seen the link posted here before. It was from the beginning of October, not sure if that qualifies as "old news". But bringing up the Thoroughbred "B" 1800+ has gotta be "new news" since it isn't released yet.:D

It wasn't my intention to post "flamebait", although I was trying to make the point of P4 cpu's being way out of line in terms of cost/performance compared to Athlons.

Your post, and the way your phrased it, was pure flamebait.
