Athlon XP question

Hi,

I have an ECS K7S5A motherboard and updated it to the latest BIOS that supports an Athlon XP 2600+ cpu, my question is if an Athlon XP 2600+ 333 FSB will work on this board.

Any help appreciated.

nope, only the 266fsb 2.13ghz 2600 xp will work

(edit: at its rated speed, well without multiplier change anyway)

I've used several of the ECS K7S5A Pro m/b's, and they do only support the 266 FSB. However, you may be able to up the multiplier so that it's running at about the same threshold as if it were doing the 333 at the lower default multiplier.

BTW, ECS is pronounced "Yuck". 😀
