Athlon XP processor in micro ATX desktop case

Hi,

I heard from someone that 2100XP generates a lot of heat even in its stock speed 1.73Ghz, and it is not meant to be housed in slim micro ATX desktop case. Is there any truth to this? Or is it ok to put 2100XP in this rather tight space only with stock cooling fan? Thanks.

if i remember correctly 2100 is the last palomino. The 2100 palomino I belive is the hottest AMD processor on the market right now. If im wrong some one say so, i dont remember much.

There's nothing wrong with the amont of space in a microATX case, just don't turn it into a sarcophagus (sp?). There should be space for one case fan somewhere - install it.

I've got a pally running at 1.6GHz with stock cooling @ 1.85V, so I'm not far behind you. It runs fine.
