I'm sure you guys are aware of the new 166FSB Athlon MP's that will come out, will AMD release a new chipset to support it?? Or will a second party chipset maker do it (Ie. VIA, SiS) I want the 166FSB real bad man. I could wait a while but not too long, I want to get rid of an old AMD751 configuration for an XP. I want upgrade when "Hammer" almost is out on the market and the Socket A's are dirt cheap, and will the VIA KT 400 be the LAST?? Chipset before the Hammer comes out and will it support AGP 8X???

DO'H!!!!!!!!!!

Bummer man.. well thats okay for now I guess, I mean motherboards have overcloking options to make it over 200 fsb right?? So i guess I can reach 166 with a few voltage modifications? But I want dual channel DDR RAM (no Nforce for me please, unless its got 8X AGP and really cool overclocking thingys) But anyone has info on the KT400??? Like INTERGRATED USB 2.0/Firwire or else I'll have to look at an Intel 845G with ICh4 as a next upgrade solution.

The KT400 if anything, will only be a niche product for those wanting to squeeze the most out of older chips. Seeing as how the JEDEC only certified DDR333 within the last quarter, and chipmakers are just now rolling out serious volumes of DDR333, I can pretty much bet that this board is a dead duck. I would be surprised if anyone made a board for DDR400 instead of faster P4's or the upcoming Hammer.
