I havent gotten into windows yet, because it appears my hardrive is crapping out. I have a abit nf7-s2(came in today) and an athlon xp mobile 2500. I wana update the bios when I get the chance, but it appears there is no where to set the cpu multiple. I can only increase it by aggresive, turbo, optimal etc. The fsb options are 100 133 166 200. That is ok, but the problem is outside of windows I have no way of telling what my cpu speed will be since I dont know the multilple. Also, by default it was read as a 600mhz athlon with a 100mhz fsb. Is this normal for theese procs since they are mobiles?

Many motherboards auto-detect mobiles at 6x100.
Did you say you got an NF7-S2 and not an NF7-S v2? A fit was raised about the former on these forums a while back... if I recall correctly, one of the issues was that it didn't have multiplier adjustment.

Edit: CONFIRMED
From the review:
In addition, with the NF7-S2, you aren?t able to adjust your multiplier and CAS 2.0 support is even left out.

I haven't heard of a BIOS that'll give you the multiplier adjustment. The one you have linked to on eBay is what you want (unless they mistitled).

It indeed sucks to find out you just purchased a board less feature-rich than one a buck cheaper (the Shuttle AN35N-Ultra, which I have). Hope you can get this resolved.

My Shuttle is supposed to be quite good for a budget (as compared to the NF7-S/AN7/NFII Infinity) overclocker. I run at only 2.0GHz since I'm not a gamer (yet), but I'm sure it can go higher. It might be limited by the lack of an active northbridge cooler, though, so if you're looking for heavier OCs, check out the two Abits and the DFI mentioned above.

Good overclocker, my Shuttle is running a Sempron at 231fsb I had my mobile @2400mhz on the shuttle as well.
