Athlon XP instead of MP in dual processor motherboards?

Is it possible to plug two Athlon XP processors in dual processor motherboard instead of MP's. If there is a Dual Socket A motherboard that can take this or can be updated, hacked etc. to take it, I'd like to know about it. Can somebody give me a few leads? Thanks.
 
I used XP's in my 760MPX board. All I did was connect the L5 bridges on teh chips and plug them in. They came up as MP's afetr that.
