Hi,
From reading round various reviews, I get the impression there is no significant difference between XP and MP except that MP are approved for multiprocessing. The technical specs appear to be identical.
Is that correct? If so, can anyone comment on Digital Networks offering dual XPs at http://www.dnuk.com/systems/workstar-720-ddr.html
I ask because I was buying a system from GND (www.gnd.com), but cancelled the order (long story). They were claiming that XPs overheat in the Tyan Tiger and AMD say they are not to be used for SMP, even though "sales people" were saying otherwise. While I no longer trust GND to build me a system (as I said, long story), they seem technically OK.
So what gives?
Thanks, Andrew
