athlon xp + duron HSF?

So I have a spare AXP 2500 and an old Duron HSF lying around. Is it safe to put the old HSF on the AXP?

Probably not.

Durnon's were low power CPUs, AthlonXPs on the other hand drew some fairly substantial amounts of current (about as much as mid-range Core2 Duo CPU.).
