Athlon XP CPU Version number?

I'm in the process of buying a motherboard and the product description states it supports:

"Supports Athlon XP (Palomino?) Processor (v1.1 only)"
"AMD Athlon XP (Palomino, FSB 133, Socket A) to 1.4GHz (v1.1 only) "

It supports other AMD cpus, but I don't understand the "v1.1" stuff that they say they support. Also
only supporting 1.4GHz concerns me for future upgrades too. Is this just a thing where they haven't
updated the website to reflect the newest processors out?

Oops, I figured out that the version number was just the motherboard version number. So that
answers one question, however I still would like to know if it will support Athlon processors faster than
1.4Ghz, like the new Athlon XP 1900+ (1.6Ghz) processor.
