Athlon XP and MP are the same dual capable chip, right?

The MP and XP can both be used in dual setups. Check out motherboards before you plung in though.

It's like the difference between Coppermine PIII and PIII Xeon w/256K cache.

MP is just "guaranteed" to run at SMP.

So the XPs are NOT claimed to run in a dual set-up? What kind of bs is that!

SO, does AMD have any plans to release 1.2+ MPs?

Is there going to be faster MPs comming out?

AMD is supposed to be coming out with a 1.53 GHz MP this month, along with the 1.53GHZ XP. So performance won't be a big deal, since you'll be able to get the highest clocked Athlon out there that's certified to be used in dual setups. However, it will be more expensive, but that's life. ;)
