Athlon XP and KG7-R

I know that there is a new BIOS update that adds Athlon XP support to the KG7-R, but is that just for the first few processors, or will I be able to use that update to have the latest Athlon XP in the summer of 2002? Would they have to release a new BIOS update for the newer XP's or would it just not be possible...?
