Athlon XP 3000+ vs. Celeron D 340J

Its bor some basic computing.

XP 3000+ would be used on a Biostar nForce 2 Ultra IGP and the 340J would be on a 915G mobo, both with 512Mb DDR400 memory in dual channel config.

Which one would you go for?

XP 3000+, *major* performance different. The XP 3000+ is still a good chip even today.

never heard about a CELERON 540J but only of a PENTIUM 540J

then the axp 3000 would be faster than the celeron 340j, since the celeron d 335 is a bit slower than the axp 2800, the 3000 should also be faster then the 340
