Athlon XP 2000+ @ 66 MHz FSB???

I just got the ECS K7S5A and Athlon XP 2000+ combo at Fry's, and I noticed that 3DMark2001SE says that my FSB is 66MHz. However the BIOS says its at 133MHz, and the CPU is detected as an Athlon XP 2000+ (1.66GHz). I did a clean reformat, using 40.72s on my Geforce 3, but I get a score of 7314. It seems that the average of a similar system is 8200. I flashed to the latest BIOS version and downloaded the latest AGP file from ECS's site. I am thinking I should be getting a higher score and performance, but I could be wrong?

Details of my 3DMark Score: Details Link

Main Specs:
ECS K7S5A
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
256mb DDR PC2100
PNY Verto Geforce 3 (40.72s)

I get about 3800 3Dmarks on a 1600+ at 1750MHz, with a GeForce2GTS on a KT333 board running 166/166MHz. You're about double that score so I don't think you could really be at a 66MHz FSB. Have you tried setting your RAM timings to Ultra in the BIOS and lowering the timings as far as possible?

That's a glitch in 3DMark. It said 66mhz fsb for my old Tbird when it was actually 133. What do you trust more, your bios or 3DMark?

I am still kind of skeptical about my scores because in the 3D Accelerator Comparsion on 3DMark's site, theres a big point difference.

Mine: 7314 100% NVIDIA GeForce3

Average: 8226 112% NVIDIA GeForce3

Almost a 1000 pt difference 🙁 and everything is pretty much maxed out in my BIOS.

The SIS 735 Chipset is no speed demon..... Try using the AGP driver from SIS and not ECS. BTW The PCI and HDC performance on this chipset is pretty low too.....but for $100 for board/retail chip...it's hard to complain.

i have an athlon xp 1600 a geforce 4 ti 4200 512 mb of ddr 2100 mobo with a kt266 chipset and i get around 8400 witch is under the average. i had a geforce 3 ti 200 with the same system and i would get around 5400 points so i wouldnt worry too much it proly nothin wron with your system.
