Athlon XP 1700 Support with K7T Turbo?

Ok, the official MSI page says that only the K7T Turbo2 supports an XP 1800+, that's fine. So doesn't that mean my 1700+ should work on my k7t turbo? I upgraded the bios and all.

I've read that other people were able to get their athlon xp 1600 recognized with the update bios. Well anyways, when left to auto detect the multiplier and bus speed, it gets the x11 multiplier setting right, but the bus is still left at 100.

However, there isn't an option on the cpu settings for a bus of 133 (goes up to 132, which btw, doesn't post since it thinks its severly overclocked). There must be something that I overlooked to set the fsb to 133, what is it?

Thank you for any help

Any intelligent system builder. The manual is always the first thing to be studied before you start assembly.

I never read it anymore.
all new boards are jumperless. my new EPoX with all the S-ATA stuff and Firewire built on, all had the settings in the BIOS, not one jumper.

Perhaps, I read it when I have trouble. Otherwise, its like relearning your abc's to make sure all the letters are still there
