I now have an sk-7, but before had an svc goldengate. I can get upto 11x150 and any more this thing starts to get cranky.

This is on an Epox 8RDA+. My multiplier is locked, and the one time I tried to unlock it I failed, so it has since remained multi-locked.

Right now I am running it @1.825V 11*148 = 1634 (its really like 148.x mhz ;) )

Since you have an overclocking friendly board and what would appear to be very good overclocking ram, why not pick up a new xP1700 Thoroughbred from newegg for $45 shipped, and maybe a Speeze CPU Fan Model 5F263B1M3 for $12 shipped and try overclocking that. You should be able to hit 2.0 gig easy, and if you are lucky, maybe 2.2. I am running mine at 2.1 Ghz right now. With that Palomino, you will be limited severely compared to a T-Bred.

Yep... I was sad to find that out after trying to overclock my xp2000+ palomino.

Yeah, if you're lucky. My Palomino's only gave me another 200 of AMD's PR thing - an XP1500 to 1700 (1.33GHz to 1.47GHz) and an XP1700 to 1900 (1.47GHz to 1.6GHz). Not impressive.
See if you can get a Tbred B, maybe from SVC, though that's not the cheapest price I've seen. Try Newegg, like someone apparently suggested already.
Link.
Is that guaranteed to be a Tbred-B though?

Yeah my old XP1500 topped out at 1.58GHz where as my latter XP1600 AGOIA topped out at 1.78GHz

thanx alot people for ur help, any more suggestions are much appreciated... I just orderd a 120 gig seagate hd from newegg recently, because as you can all see from my first post I only have a 12 gig right now, and more space is always good... Now I just need to figure out how to take a post off that I have put up? I looked under help topics and didn't get any where from that, or else I'm guessing after a certain amount of time the post will drop off automatically? Any body know the answer? Sucks being a newbie, but I guess ya gotta start some where..lol... Thanx again for ur help people...

A posting on the forums? Only mods can delete posts or threads. What did you want to remove? They will just sort of drop off in time, and eventually be archived (stored on the server, without the abilty to post to, or edit the thread).
