Will a Athlon XP 1600 work in a Asus A7V133 KT133A Socket A Motherboard. The Assus website says they have a bios download that supports XP processors. I know it will support Durons CPUs and the Athlon Thunderbird up to 1.1 mhz. Any comments would be appreciated.

yep, it'll support XP's, you just need to flash the bios BEFORE you install the processor. i believe bios 1007 is commonly being used for XP recognition

you can get the bios here

It will work. Some ppl will have to do the "extra" after flashing the bios.
1. Use jumper to set vcore instead of bios.
2. Use jumper to set the multiplier instead of bios.

Other than tht, not major hassle.
