Athlon XP 1600+, whether to unlock or not?

I'm trying to decide whether it is worthwhile to unlock this puppy (XP 1600+ AGOIA). I use Thermalright SLK-800 heatsink with a quiet Panaflo 80mm fan. Don't want go with any louder fan. How much OC can you do with this combo? Here is my system spec:

Chieftec SX1040
Antec TruePower 550W PS
Epox nForce2 8RDA+
Athlon XP 1600+
(2)256MB Crucial 2100 DDR
Radeon 9500 128MB
120 Gig WD(8m cache) hard drive
TDK 48x CDRW

My XP 1600+ AGOIA is stable at XP 2000+ speeds using a 9x185MHz combo. You should be able to get 155-166MHz stable with your ram depending on timmings I would think. Try (Default multiplier)10.5X159MHz FSB and 1.8v core and see if that will work.

OMG, with that chip, you'd be silly...I mean damn silly, to not overclock. I had one running at 1789 Mhz stable as could be under 24/7 100% load

Oh, and I would set my ram voltage to 1.63v in bios, 1.77v (or whatever the next step up is) if that did'nt work.

Mine runs stable all day long at 1700mhz, by FSB overclocking. My weak link are the cards, and the memory/ memory bus. I couldn't run CAS 222 2t above 152 FSB.

Thanks for everyone's input. I'll start with FSB overclocking. I don't have the defogger kit to unlock my chip yet. My local Pepboy doesn't even carry it anymore.🙁
