Well, my friend is building an Athlon system. He wants to go with a DDR board. My experience with the ABIT kt7a has not been a good one , hence the reason I'm giving him my 1ghz chip. Looking for someway to avoid the VIA n-bridge at all costs. thanks,

You're right don't let him near the Abit KT7A...I had my share of problems with that mother....oh yes. I have MSI K7T Turbo. No problems, it doesn't support DDR but it's stable and overall an excellent performer. I think the MSI K7T Master supports DDR.

I recently got the FIC AD11 and it is excellent. Extremely stable, I think everyone agrees on that about the AD11. Also it tops out the charts in just about every round of motherboard comparison benchmarks I've seen. Excellent value and excellent performance, and they're cheap as motherboards go too: I got mine from newegg.com for only $108 US.

I built my cousin's 1.2GHz with the MSI K7 Master (AMD760 chipset). I used this board since many people mentioned that this was one of the most stable boards at a great price. I haven't overclocked on this board so I can't tell you how stable it would be if you're looking to push your processor, but so far, my cousin hasn't had any problem playing CS or D2exp all day long.
