yep as pillage said, the XP will do better, runs cooler, and has SSE. I had an AYHJA 1.4 T-bird which was its pinnacle stepping, and it did about 1.7 gigs, which was very nice at the time. However, it required some serious cooling (but its unlocked).

I would wait and see on the new XP T-bred's for lower clocked XP's. I ordered a 1700+, and I'm crossing my fingers hoping its a Rev. B. :D

Last I checked, the 1.4 TBird had the highest heat output of all of AMDs CPUs. The XP also has the on-die thermal diode, which will help if you want to o/c.

I dont mean to step on your feet, but I think the Revision A TBreds have the highest heat output. I have a AYHJA 1.4 TBird running at 46C on a AX7, my friend has a RevA 2.2 TBred running at 53C (both temps idle)
