I just bought a Athlon 800/KT7 combo. What do you guys think are the ideal settings to OC? I currently have it running @ 900 but could use a bit of advice on properly adjusting the settings (multilplier, voltage, fsb, etc)for various speeds (maybe 950 and up?). Thanks!

P.S. Actually to be more specific, if I set it 133 x 7.5, what should my voltage setting be?

Hey. It's probably gonna vary some from chip to chip.

Check this FAQ. You'll also find a link there to a pretty good KT7 forum.

Good luck!

My 800 T-bird is running, btw, at 1.775v, 8x110mhz with CPU at FSB+3 (904). I have a pretty good hs/f, too (Tai-Sol), and excellent case cooling. Your cooling will be VERY important.

Vidd,
How are you overclocking it now...via the FSB? or using a GFD?? These are things we need to know...
If I were you, I would purchase a GFD (Gold Finger Device) to use to overclock if you aren't using one and if you goto this site:
GFD and Basic overclocking
many questions can be answered...feel free to PM me or email me if you have further ???'s

Ideal settings vary from setup to setup. You must find these yourself.

More specifically, since you ask:
It doesn't matter what voltage to use at 133x7.5. It won't work regardless. Top FSB on those systems is about 115.
