I've heard problems with using 512mb RAM sticks with a lot of motherboards, which Athlon SOCKET A motherboards support NON-REGISTERED, 512mb SD-RAM sticks???

Narrow which motherboards you are thinking of down to 2 or 3, then go to the manufacturer's websites and see which ones make use of non-registered 512MB DIMMs.
