Athlon, locked or unlocked?

Can you tell from looking whether or not an Athlon has been unlocked? I guess it depends on where you get it from.

I think generally, you look at the L1, L3, L4, L6 and L7s -- to unlock the multiplier you look at L1; to alter the default voltage you alter the L7s. I think those are the 2 often changed settings. You can look for signs of pencil, erased or not, or any other residue.

L1 bridge for unlock. connect them verticcally not horizontally if you are looking at it chip facing you right side up. ....Voltage can be modified in bios if you are running a good mobo. Otherwise L7 bridge
