Athlon II X2 Question

I'm running Win XP Pro SP3 32bit with an Athlon II X2 250 and an AMD 760G/710SB AM3 motherboard. Does anyone know if I need to install "AMD Processor Driver Version 1.3.2.0053 for Windows XP -- 08/31/2007" and "AMD Dual-Core Optimizer Version 1.1.4 -- 07/31/2008"?

IIRC this was for back in the 939 days when peeps upgraded from there single cored A64 Athlon64 Venice/Winchesters to say X2 Toledos/Denmarks So i would say there is no need

I'm thinking that SP3 includes a Windows 'patch'

And you would not need the DC Optimizer patch.

It's not good to do both because IIRC it may cause a conflict.

Thanks for the replies. I'll just do a fresh install once it's all put together, upgrade to SP3, and run some benches to see if I'm getting the right numbers. Then maybe try those AMD drivers on another fresh install and compare.
