My Athlon 900 does not seem to support ACPI idle mode. SisSoft Sandra shows that the CPU does not support ACPI. Is this a problem with my MB or CPU? I'm running a KK266 with 307 bios. I though that this bios supported ACPI idling by sending HLT commands to the processor, but my processor still has high idle temps that are not much different from temps when underload. This is with w2k running the ACPI kernel.
