Dear forumers:

Sorry for bugging you guys with silly questions like this. I am not very good at computers as most of you, so... :)

Anyway, I have an ASUS A7V133 motherboard with an Athlon Thunderbird 1.4GHZ CPU (133MHZ FSB, not 100). But when I set the FSB speed I got a bit confused. On the AMD website it said something about the Athlon processors with 266 MHZ FSB. What does it mean?

I am just not sure if that "266 MHZ FSB" for Athlon is just for people with DDR RAMs? Does it mean if I get a DDR RAM in the future, I should change the FSB speed of the CPU to 266MHZ and lower the multipliar factor?

I have a 256MB PC-133 SDRAM. Right now my setting is 133 MHZ FSB with 10.5 multipliar factor. Is that correct?

Yes ...10.5 x 133=1400 and this is correct...the chipset doubles the fsb to 266..I just for life of me went blank and can not remember the exact terminology but everything is set fine...

No when you DDR ram on an appropriate mobo(A7V133 does not support DDR ram)...the fsb will be 133 as well in the bios
