athlon compatible memory

countless online stores have warned about lower grade memory not working with the athlon series processors (i'm guessing so they make more money). there is a good deal @ http://www.ramtechnologies.net/ for 128mb 133mhz Micron (quality?) ram for $133. will my old (2 pc100 64mb generic) ram run on a kt7 motherboard w/ a thunderbird? or should i get all new ram?

try it first. a lot of generic ram works on athlons. The companies are just trying to get more money from you.
