alright my friend bought a computer the other day up in minnepolis at best buy. she got it custom made at best buy. when i asked about the tbird 1.4 ghs processer... the guy said they go through athlon for the amd processer computers... then he told me that 128 mb ddr ram was all the athlons could handle... this sounds seriously wrong to me...doesnt athlon make a mobo that can support more than 128 mb ddr ram?

Yes, in fact there are some mobos that can handle up to 4 gigs of DDR that run Athlons.

Sounds like the guy wasn't making his commission with your friend, and wanted to get rid of her :D

First of all - AMD doesn't make motherboards. Second of all - any Athlon motherboard will take much more than 128MB of RAM :)

<<she got it custom made at best buy>> So she ordered a CTO PC at the web kisok thingy?

Thats strange, the drones usually try to tack on extras to the CTO like more RAM.
