Would the 250p.s. in the In-win A500 work fine with an athlon 500-600? It will not be overclocked and will have these parts in it. Asus K7V, 64MB Ram, SB16, 20.5GB WD ATA-66 7200RPM Hard drive, 2 Meg PCI video card, modem, network card. Its an office computer that is on 24/7.

If not, what case would you recommend that is under $55. Looks arent important as it will be mostly hidden. I havent built an athlon system before and i hear that they are very picky about power supplies.

Thanks

it should be fine, but of course 300watts are preferred, try it out for a while and if u have instability go and get yourself a 300.
If u want i can get you a sparkle or a seventeam for like 45 bucks.

I found that site on amds yesterday, i just found it hard to find the individual cases themselves at retailers. Thanks for the offer about the power supply frank, but i was hoping to keep it $55 for case and power supply.

Talked the boss into letting me use a little more money and am getting the antec 235xcase plus an athlon 650. i think those are the numbers. Its 250W and is a smartpower case. Oh well, thx for the help.:)
