dude i have been observing ur previous posts for quite a while now

listen bhai 940 cost is 16000 rupees board 8000 ruppes think about it
core i7 board + ram+ cpu = 42k
phenom 24k

q9650 = 19k

and many people are saying phenom 2 is a competitor to q6600 not even the q9400 :p
and mostly by the time these things hit india the core i5 will be out
and mostly by the time that is available in india am3 will be popularized and by the time that comes to india we will have intel 32 nm

and everything in this process will be over 15k for sure
so i say dont read this reviews u will simply get anxious these figures look tempting but come at a price usa people will get it for a relatively cheaper price
but it will be damn costly and obsolete by the time they come here
u r simply ruining ur mood

ahh never mind i forgot that most of the indians here stay in foreign nvm

carry on dont mind me i just get carried away sometimes

No L3 that is the difference...

The X3 7xx series DOES have L3 cache. Your linked site is wrong.

Another note - in my link we see DDR3 = DDR2 as far as performance goes. Though I'm sure it will open up some overclocking headroom down the line.

Also, a little bit on pricing - I was right... X3 720BE ~$150. Pricing for the tri-cores are STILL too freaking high imho. But what it does give you is a BE capable of ~3.7GHz at a good price...

I also stay in India and buy my stuff from Chd, Punjab or online. The fact of the matter is you can get Phenom II in several dealers here but intel is in force in India. You are wrong about it cant take on q6600 just read the reviews and is actually quite comparable to q9400 which costs around 17k and a good MB around 8-9k but i allready have a AM2+ MB left and PhII does not seem that bad.

In the end its the little things such as better winrar performance, etc that make you help make a choice. The price difference between official prices are around Rs.2k

Also FYI if you don't support AMD now and again and AMD sinks you will have to buy expensive Intel parts because they will have no competition.

Did you read that article AMD defending L3 on their consumer deneb parts ?? If you did not pls do it was so interesting.

This would be cheaper and depending on the apps you play with can be quite viable. I mean things that don't use L3 would work as good or bad with this as compared to the Phenom x3 part.

This would be a punch for Intel because both core 2 and Nehalem "I think not sure" need their L3 a lot and cant function properly without it.
