Athlon 850 OC Question..

I have an Athlon 850 (original SLOT-A, not tbird), and I can hit 950 on default voltage (1.75v). The cache multiplier is at default set at 2/5. When I try to get anything above 950, the system crashes (even though 950 is completely stable at default voltage). I can up the voltage to 2.0v and it will still crash like it would at 1.75v. Could the BIOS be the problem? It won't let the speed go anywhere over 1000 so maybe it's something concerning the BIOS? What do ya' think? Please help.. 🙂

EDIT: Also, the processor ran fine at 1000 before I flashed the BIOS to a slightly newer version. After I flashed back to the older BIOS, it's still having problems going above 950..

Yes...Mr. Dark is right..your gonna have to change the cache to 1/3...you can do it by getting a program called Mathlon..if I can find a site for it I will come back and post it...otherwise if you really want it, you can email me and I will send it to you....
found it...here you go..
