As far as I know I have not heard of anyone being able to adjust the multiplier in the bios yet, and the chips has an IHS like Intel P4's so the bridges are not there to do it as well....

PPL who are ocing these bad boys have to use all fsb and that seems to be an issue with many boards and that is limiting many in their ocing endeavors....

awww that sucks, cause the k8t800 mobo i ordered has multiplier and a whole bunch of other oc features but the chipset doesnt allow agp/fsb locking, which i hear limits fsb ocing. can someone tell me how to go about overclocking this as much as i can without frying my video card?

There is a thread flotaing just below us where a guy says the agp/pci goes back to 66/33 at 233mhz fsb so definitely try that zone before you rule out your ocing...Many talk about 125 fsb range and that may clearly be because the agp/pci clock gets too far out and likely has nothing to do with the limit of the chip...

Good luck....

Yeah, we know that... AMD has publicly stated that the Athlon FX will NEVER have a locked multiplier because it's aimed at the enthusiast market. The A64 xx00+'s on the other hand will have locked multipliers in order to prevent "remarking" of processors on large scales.

Thanks for the tone. You'll notice he referenced the Athlon 64's in general. I stated the FX multiplier was unlocked, plain and simple. Perhaps you could be a little less rude in your responses next time.

oh man, that sucks so bad, how does that make sense if the 3200 and 3000 run at the same speed???

According to this the A64 3000+ allows for multiplier adjustment, but the BIOS has to support it.

There wasn't a "tone" intended... does sound kinda snotty though doesn't it? LOL, sorry :D

More specifically, it allows the multiplier to be reduced with software tricks. You won't be able to increase it.

Which sucks :( sorta...I guess that would allow you to get a higher FSB instead, if you have decent RAM.

I really can't wait for a motherboard manufacturer who allows the clock speed of the RAM to be adjusted in 1 Mhz incriments independant of the "FSB."
