Likely never, the A64 X2 has been replaced by the Phenoms, for better or worse.

However, I wouldn't rule out seeing a few A64 X2 models on the 45nm process for a few markets, though it'd likely be just a die shrink. Not sure exactly what is on AMD's road map at the moment.

Phenom is the new AMD processor series, there is also a new energy efficient X2, the X2 4850e.

iirc they're going to actually have "phenom" dual cores at 45nm. they were supposed to launch kuma to compete with e8xxx and e6xxx in late 07/early 08, but we all know how that turned out... :(

Yeah, what exactly happened to Kuma anyway? My suspicion is that the low clocks on Phenom meant it would have ended up eveb slower than AMD's existing X2s, let alone C2Ds.
