Athlon 64 x2 4000+ or 4400+?

After quite a bit of thinking, I decided to go with the Brisbane line of Athlons, now I need to decided which one I want. Would there be a noticeable performance difference between the 4000+ and the 4400+? is the 4400+ worth the ~$20 more? Thanks in advance.

The performance difference is not huge, but it is noticeable. For $20 more, I would say go for the 4400+.

(Look at my sig)

Mainly when doing something CPU intensive like encoding or if you do a lot of multitasking. The higher clock speed of the 4400+ will make task like that go a little faster.

EDIT

It also makes overclocking a little easier since you will not have to over clock your RAM as much if that is your thing.

I got my 4400+ up to 2.75Ghz stock cooler and volts. Getting a Freezer 64 Pro this weekend to see if I can do better. So at least they overclock decently.

I would definitely go for the 4400+

do you have the AM2 board for it?

Brisbane is AM2. Manchester / Toledo is S939.

If you dont have the board, you should not venture into AMD. A E2180 would spank that thing in every application you throw at it. Expecially if you lightly OC it.

Well, I decided to get the 4000+ which is $67...thats comparable to the e2140 in price. You guys think the e2140 outperforms the the x2 4000+?
