Athlon 64 question.

Buy it have 93 evals it is for sure a 130nm. Newegg, unlike someonline vendors, are very good about seperating their products. When they get in the 3500 90nm retails they will have their own listing, not just be pilled in with the 3500 newcastles.

Good explanation! The reputable places will separate their cpu revisions (and of course charge more for the new ones at first, LOL). I would definitely go with the 90nm 3500 for its power consumption idle and load is amazing compared to the 130nm AMD and 90nm Prescotts. Plus it can overclock to 2600 or more. We are talking near FX-55 levels for a third of the price. MMMMM saving money

As long as we are talking OCing, Anantech found NO difference in the 3500+ and the 3000+ Winchester chips as far as OCing went. I picked up one of the 3000+s a few days ago and just got it today and am installing windows as we speak 🙂. Hopefully after a good burn in I will be @ 2.6 😀

For 80-100 dollars cheaper it is a no brainer.
