Let me get back to you on that. My asus had an option where you select what percentage you want to overclock it.

Yes I know I took the easy way out but whats the difference between 300FPS and 320FPS? Im not superman.

the mult is locked up to what is stock.

so if you have a 3000+ which is 10 x 200, then the highest mult you have access to is 10 but you have access to anything lower than that (9,8,7,6,5,4...)

the multiplier like shimmishim said above is able to go from your rated processor speed downward due to the cool n quiet technology involved. in other words a 3200 would have a max multiplier of 200 x 10 but can go down ( 200 x9, 200 x8, 200 x 7 all the way to 200 x 4 depending on cpu load). The FX's however can go upward or downward for they are completely unlocked. The FX-53 is 200 x 12 to = 2400Mghrtz. i think their maximum is around 200 x 14 or 200 x 15 which would give you 2800 or 3000Mghrtz. Good luck without phase change to get that though lol

can the FXs really handle 2.8ghz? my friend just bought one and i'm curious to how far it can go with stock voltage and cooling.
