Athlon 64 build.

Hi I'm new here,

Okay, ever since I bought a Shuttle I've been hooked on SFF PCs.

Anyway, I want to build a new one (and can't afford a shuttle), but I'm not sure if I should go with the following specs:

Antec ARIA case (comes with 300W power supply)
Athlon 64 3200+ (venice core, socket 939)
80GB Western Digital SATA drive
1GB corsair valueram
Biostar TForce6100-939 microATX motherboard
GeForce 6600GT 128MB video card
etc

Well, the problem is that the power supply that comes with the case only has a 20-pin connector, while the motherboard has a 24-pin connector. NewEgg sells a 20-pin to 24-pin adapter. I'm not sure if it'd be wise to use that or not.

What are your thoughts?

You could use the adapter, but you may want to check the mobo manual. Some 24-Pin mobos allow for the use of a 20-Pin connector (with no adapter).

As for the video card, if you are not planning on gaming, you may want to cut it out since you have decent integrated graphics with the mobo you chose.
