Guys i need your lights.I am planning to do an upgrade but i do not want to throw away my ram.I have one 1gb ddr 333mhz stick and 2 512mb ddr 333mhz sticks and i want to use them in my next platform.I have 3 questions.

1)If i use an nforce 4 ultra mobo and an athlon 64 3700+ do you think that this setup would work?

2)What will be the performance difference between my ram and 2 gigs dual channel ddr 400?Give me a percentage.

3)Should i get an athlon 64 3700+(110Euros) an athlon x2 3800+(150Euros) or an athlon x2 4200+(190Euros).Which one of the above has the best performance/price ratio?

An uneven number of RAMs is not likely to work. I would suggest going with 2 gigs DDR400. I think it'll give you a 15-35% performance increase.
Also, take the X2 3800+.

You could probably get away with the 2-512MB.
The performance should be close to when a memory divider is used. I've been told it's only a few percent difference (I haven't used dividers).
I'd suggest an X2. If you can afford it, go for the lowest speed you want and try overclocking from there. If money is tight go for the least expensive and try to get where you want by overclocking.
