Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego Benchmarks?

I have searched the articles and turned up nothing, anyone got a link I am missing or a link on another site comparing processors which include the 3700+

I haven't seen any yet. But I can tell you from personal experience (upgraded from 3200+ winnie to 3700+ SD). I compared the Winchester to the San Diego at the same mhz 2.2, and the SD had small victories 1-3% in PI, sandra multi media, etc.. Games showed better improvement in FPS 8-10%, HL2 benchmark showed a whopping 17% increase that I can't explain or validate (my 3200+ is in another machine)

When it comes to overclocking my 3200+ max was 2601mhz, with the same board and voltage the max with the SD 3700+ is 2805mhz. My Benchmark scores from the SD stomp my old best scores with the winchester. Ex. SuperPI 32m 3200 = 28m 03s, 3700 = 26m 07s, Sandra CPU 3200=12020 3700=13151

You and that damn 1MB of cache!!!

😛

LOL!🙂 Most of the reviews and opinions seem to be that the extra cache doesn't help much, maybe when we finally see some real 64bit apps (2 yrs?) it will be more meaningful, but of course by then I be looking at the new quad core chips😀

But then again you can never have to much cache$$$
