I'm about to buy an Athlon 64 3500+ Venice PIB (939), but I can't figure out which part number I should pick up?

I have found these two part numbers, which are available in my country:

  • ADA3500BPBOX
    ADA3500AWBOX

At labs.anandtech.com it mentions, the first is an OEM SKU, and the last a Retail SKU. Unfortunately I have no idea what that means.

Yep! the first one is Venice, the second one is the Clawhammer. There is a San diego 3500+ but its pretty rare ADA3500BNBOX

Not to correct you, but the ADA3500AWBOX is a Newcastle not a Clawhammer. Oh wait, i just corrected you... oops :)

Anyway the ASBOX is the Hammer chip. BWBOX is Venice E6 revision and BIBOX is Winchester.
