i ll go for an 3400-734 socket- but im little confused.what 3400 cpu is better?the one with 2.2ghz or the other with 2.4ghz and newcastle core?the 2.2 3400 has clawhammer core and 1mb L2?HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP.Thanx in advance

I would say go for the 2.4. The extract cache doesn't do a lot of good most of the time.

3400 is as good as 3800 if you don't overclock. I love mine. go for the 2.4ghz one. I recommend Asus K8N if you're looking for a cheap mobo.

I'll upgrade to x2 next summer too because it's just out of my price range right now. Plus, I guess better mobo's should come out for x2's by next summer.

when i get my 4400 im gonna change my motherboard.i want pci x.right now i hav an 6800 ultra and its a monster,i dont want to sell it now.i want just a better cpu in 754s and i believe that 3400 is a very good choise for the time being
