I couldnt really find much information on the temps for this cpu on search engines, anyone know what the max is? I used retail HSF + retail already on there paste so i wouldnt void any warranties, my full load is about 47-48C, idle ~38-42C, is this ok? thanks

looks good
When I was screwing around overclocking my athlon 64 3000+ hit 80c at one point and still lives... Although when I saw that I turned the computer off and opened up the case for a few minutes.

I have one of those Shuttle XPC SFF cases and my temps are typically 50C system and case, and thats with only moderate usage. I keep forgetting to check it after a long gaming session. 50C is within safe parameters though.

Also, if you have a motherboard/bios that supports it, you can download and use that Cool 'n' Quiet thing from AMD, which basically underclocks your CPU during low-demand periods to cut power requirements which in turn lowers temperature.

I have my A64 3200+ overclocked to 2200mhz, and that is about the same temps I get....so I guess that's normal.

A little higher than mine, but ambient temp is the key. When my house got to 85F, then at full load I got up to 44c (need a converter here, but....) I usually run about 42c full load, I mean at 100% forever.... (seti sucks it dry) What HSF ? I run a Thermaltake Silent Boost K8 ($28) and two case fans at low speed on my Antec 1080awg.
