Does the Athlon 4 work on all Socket A MoBos or just ones that support 266Mhz bus?

If so does it require a BIOS update?

The older chipsets do not support it. The AMD760, SIS735 and I'm sure the KT266 and yes, in most cases a BIOS update is required.
